Welker: No Deal Yet, Forte & Scobee get deals
As the 4pm (ET) deadline approaches, the Patriots and WR Wes Welker have not agreed on a long-term deal. If no deal is reached, Welker would receive his one-year $9 million tender and the two sides would have to wait until after the 2012 season to work on a new contract.
Around the league, Bears RB Matt Forte and Jaguars K Josh Scobee have agreed to deals. Forte gets a four-year, $32 million deal while Scobee's deal is also for four-years, worth nearly $14 million.
UPDATE (4pm): No deal has been reached by Welker and the Patriots. RB Ray Rice and the Ravens have agreed on a 5-year, $35 million deal.
